“Luxurious stay that was worth the money”
The luxury was top‑tier and the robes added a nice touch, but the LED light on the hands‑free bathroom mirror was broken – that’s the only issue.

The hotel sits in a lovely spot with a large bar and restaurant, and the room is accessible with a walk‑in shower, but my wife, who is disabled, struggled with the many steps down to public areas; the lighting and mirrors are set up for wheelchair users, though the mirrors could be taller to help both disabled and able‑bodied guests.

The setting and location were great, but there was no air conditioning, which was fine since it was the hottest Whitsun bank holiday ever.

The staff were pleasant, the food was average, and the bedroom was clean, but there was no heating in the room on arrival during a cold, grey day; I had booked a ground‑floor suite with two bedrooms and a lounge, yet it was changed to a one‑bedroom room with a sofa bed up several flights of stairs, which was problematic given my heart condition.

The food was fantastic, with generous portions served hot; the team was amazing, super helpful, and offered plenty of dietary options, and the room was perfect for staying with our dog – comfortable and spacious.
