The place is lovely, with great decor and a very classy vibe. However, the room didn't match the high price we paid – fittings were broken and the Wi‑Fi was awful, so the TV barely worked; we even had to use a Poundland roll of toilet paper.

We booked the Fellows Suite Room 516 and it was flawless – the best stay we've had out of the 6 or 7 visits in recent years. The staff were outstanding.

The location is fabulous and easy to find. The valet parking is a bit far from the hotel, which feels unusual.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, both in the hotel and in the bars/restaurant. The central area meant we could leave the car in the car park and walk everywhere. The bathroom setup was not great – the tiny sink and the shelf above made it almost unusable. We also had a small leak in our room. Our room was low down and next to a busy area with bins and some ongoing work, which will probably finish soon. We could have been given the same type of room but somewhere away from the noise.
