Hotel Kalevala, situated on the shores of Lake Lammasjärvi, offers lake-view rooms, free WiFi, and a gourmet restaurant. Each guest room features a seating area, satellite TV, and lake views. The wellness area boasts 4 saunas, 2 hot tubs, and massage facilities. Free private parking is available on site, along with a lounge, bar, and barbecue area near the beach.

The hotel is quite okay, the room is fine, but the restaurant wasn’t particularly good.

The hotel’s very quiet setting, the spacious room overlooking the lake, and the generous breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired.

From the room you could enjoy a lovely lake view and the grounds are surrounded by picturesque nature, the nearby winter war museum is only a short walk away, and the complimentary buffet breakfast offered a great selection with panoramic lake views from the dining room, though the room lacked a fridge.

Nature, water and beach nearby, quiet, good activity options. We didn’t have enough time to explore more of the nature, trails and varied activities. Next time I plan to come again next year, stay longer and rent a Fatbike.
