The location is great, and the reception staff—Emily—were good, yet the place looks very tired and clearly needs some TLC.

I didn’t have any meals and had no car, so I relied on family and friends; not much else—maybe a bit remote for someone with a mild disability.

The castle itself is beautifully and tastefully decorated, the room was cozy with lovely views, the food was delicious, and every staff member was absolutely lovely, especially the porter who brought up the breakfast; it was a wonderful place to rest.
