Located on Redang Island, off the coast of Terengganu, The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort offers luxurious rooms with balconies, modern décor, air conditioning, and tea/coffee makers. The resort features a swimming pool, 4 dining options, including Asean All Day Dining and MareNero, and a spa with fitness centre and massages. It's 45 km from Sultan Mahmud Airport, with a 1.5-hour ferry ride from Shahbandar Jetty.

The resort is set in stunning nature, the rooms are very beautiful, the staff are incredibly kind and the beach is wonderful, though we had to pay extra to use a kayak.

The private beach location, the peace, the staff’s kindness and the excellent breakfast were all great, but the bungalow near the entrance was a bit noisy, and the beach towels were not soft and often seemed dirty.

I didn’t just “like” my time at The Taaras—I loved it! First and foremost, the staff gave the best hospitality experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve traveled a lot. Their genuine care is unmatched. The beach is also fantastic and truly out of this world. Finally, I deeply appreciated the hotel’s commitment to the surrounding nature. Seeing monkeys happily roaming around the property was a huge highlight for me. It’s wonderful to stay somewhere that protects its local wildlife.
