“Could have been better”

The pool was broken on a scorching day in Los Angeles, and the price didn’t justify that missing amenity. The floor of the room was filthy—food crumbs, a long strand of hair, dust, and dirt. We moved to a smaller room that was cleaner, but the AC was weak, so we had to bring a fan to circulate the air.

Absolutely nothing. This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced. This hotel was a complete disaster from the moment we arrived. Our original room, 127, had leaking faucets and a disgusting mildew smell that filled the entire room. We were moved to room 121, expecting the situation to improve. It somehow got worse. In room 121, the sink malfunctioned so badly that it began spraying water everywhere and damn near flooded the room. This is not a minor inconvenience. We were genuinely concerned about our belongings being damaged and the room flooding. We also repeatedly found bugs inside the room. The WiFi was unreliable and made it impossible for me to work, the TV did not work, and a light bulb went out during our stay. Basic things that should have been taken care of before renting the room were simply not taken care of. The property also had an extremely concerning amount of suspicious activity happening around it throughout our stay. There was so much going on that we did not feel comfortable or safe. I am not going to make accusations about specific individuals, but the environment was deeply concerning and absolutely not what anyone should expect when paying to stay at a hotel. What makes this even worse is that we paid for this stay expecting basic cleanliness, functioning plumbing, working amenities, reliable WiFi, and a reasonably safe environment. Instead, we got mildew, leaking fixtures, BUGS, a near-flooding incident, broken amenities, unreliable WiFi, and an environment that made us uncomfortable staying there. When we brought these problems to management, we were not given the level of compensation or resolution that would reasonably reflect how bad this experience was. I would strongly advise people NOT to book this hotel. Save yourself the money, stress, and headache. The pictures and expectations you have when booking do not prepare you for what you may actually encounter. This was not simply a disappointing hotel stay

For the price, I couldn’t complain much, but the place smelled horrible—like wet dog—and the bathroom was not clean.

No, it was dirty! The air‑conditioners didn’t work, there were no clean towels, and the sheets were recycled—something disgusting. Everything was horrible: dirty, the AC didn’t work, and we got bitten by bedbugs.
