A day before Mr. Mané’s departure from Gambia to Senegal, I was told the hotel was unavailable due to maintenance, so I could no longer cancel the other hotel Le Petit Africain; the time was too short.

The accommodation was very good; the room was large and the bed very comfortable, with air conditioning and a decent bathroom. Breakfast had a lot of items and everything tasted great. Clara is very kind and pleasant, always attentive if you need anything. The only downside is the location—it's a bit far from everything and you have to take a taxi, although Dakar is big and almost everywhere you need a taxi.

The hotel was comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood is nice and calm. However, sometimes the hot water pressure in the shower is low.

“C'était OK mais sans plus.”

The location was good. The room was spacious and pleasant. The staff were friendly. However, the service level fell short in several areas. Breakfast consistently arrived 30 minutes late, which was unacceptable when I had early appointments. Shower water pressure varied wildly from day to day, sometimes barely any water came out. Curtains weren’t dark enough, making it hard to sleep lightly. The toilet flush was poorly designed, requiring me to pull, wait, release, wait again, and repeat 4 to 5 times until it finished flushing.

The hostess was absolutely kind, very open and available whenever needed.
