Vestlia Resort, designed by Helene Hennie, offers lodge-style guest rooms and ski-in ski-out access next to Hardangervidda mountain plateau, 2 km from Geilo Train Station. The hotel features a comprehensive spa, fitness centre, and restaurant serving Norwegian, Italian, and French cuisine. A 9-hole golf course and Geilolia Ski Resort's slopes and cross-country tracks are also on site.

The 3‑course set menu at dinner was unexpectedly delicious and there's plenty to do around the resort (make sure you check the opening times for seasonal activities like bike hire!). The room felt like a basic hotel and, despite the premium price, there was no kettle. We found online that others had the same issue.

Good location. The place was overcrowded, breakfast was chaotic, the pool was the dirtiest I've ever seen. Parking was unnecessarily expensive.

A traditional winter resort, we couples liked it. There was no free parking at the hotel, but it was cheaper and convenient. We can understand that.

The resort is great, but the rooms don’t match the resort’s quality; the hotel’s facilities like coffee and tea are lacking and the rooms feel very standard.
