We had a wonderful stay; the hosts were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The old‑village building, beautiful view, nice rooms, and terrace breakfast were all charming, and we’d definitely return.

We adored Archontiko 1716 – a hidden gem in the Pelion hills. The windows and terrace offered a breathtaking view, and the artistic renovation of the centuries‑old house was incredible, with design, fragrances, color, and texture that tingled all senses. Christos’ hospitality was beyond comparison: his warm welcome, delicious cocktails, and homemade breakfast made the stay unforgettable.

The traditional house, freshly renovated by Chris and Rob, kept its old charm while adding tasteful modern touches. The terrace offered a paradise view of the Pagasetic Gulf, and the hosts – along with their mother Anastasia – provided warm, attentive service. The breakfast was the best of our trip. We relaxed happily in the pedestrian village, which is very quiet. Note that accessing the property is difficult because the steep, cobblestone streets require parking elsewhere; the owners use a quad to transport luggage. Several restaurants are within a 10‑15‑minute walk. From Agios Lavrentios we spent a day visiting Pinakatès, Vizitsa, Miliès before heading down to the Aegean Sea at Mylopotamos. Also, to explore the Pelion region, you must descend to the sea (15‑20 minutes by car); mountain drives take time.

The owners were incredibly courteous and helpful right from the start, guiding us and assisting with our luggage. The manor is exquisitely decorated and well maintained, with spotless rooms and fantastic accommodations. The view is enchanting all day long. Every item on the breakfast menu is homemade, freshly made, and absolutely delicious. I would suggest expanding the breakfast selection, even though it’s already superb and handmade.

The hotel is beautiful, cozy, and stylish, with many personal touches that make you feel at home. The view of the village and sea is excellent, and breakfast is freshly made with eggs, croissants, bread, butter, jam, coffee, and fresh orange juice. The only drawback is the rocky path to the hotel – you leave your car higher up and walk carefully down, but the staff bring a small vehicle to carry your luggage to the hotel.
