The facilities were solid—clean, comfortable, and well kept. But the service was a mess: the owner was busy selling the place, the front desk was closed when we arrived, no one helped with our bags, and the dog door was a constant worry. We wanted a fire in the fireplace with a glass of wine on a 20° day, but all the fires were off and the place shut down at 9 p.m. with no one to help after that. The fridge was empty, there was no restaurant service, and it felt pricey for what it offered.

The staff were friendly, the bed and showers were good, and the view made up for the distance from the city center. The TV wouldn’t connect to Wi‑Fi, and even after it finally did, it kept freezing—no free channels, so I had to rely on my phone for internet. Breakfast could use a touch of real coffee instead of the machine, and the metal stairs to the second floor were noisy enough to wake us at 6 a.m. with echoing footsteps.
