“Quaint and Full of Character”

I stayed in a charming wooden lodge full of character and aesthetics, in a room with a mezzanine and high ceiling. The bed and blankets were heavenly and not tatami, so it was much easier to get up in the morning. After a long day of hiking, returning to the lodge for a warm shower—newly renovated—was satisfying. There was a full kitchen and a cozy common area for guests to relax.

“ストレスが溜まる宿”

There were no positives mentioned. The shower flow was extremely poor; perhaps it was adjusted for eco‑reasons, but it ended up taking longer and was stressful, especially for women. During the day, the room was ventilated, but a brief note might have helped. The shared space was occupied by a large family, so it was unusable.

The shared kitchen had a full set of cooking utensils and even simple seasonings. The only downside was that a dog was present.

The building had a warm wooden feel typical of a pension, and the garden was lovely and clean. The staff were cheerful and created a wonderful atmosphere. The stairs to the loft were steep and dangerous; adding fall‑prevention measures and reinforcing the surrounding trees would improve safety.
