The Pyes Mill Hotel Conder Green is a charming canal-side hotel, bar, and restaurant located 4 miles from Lancaster. It offers free Wi-Fi and striking canal views. Rooms feature contemporary decor, some with original wooden beams, TVs, and en-suite bathrooms. The hotel serves a creative menu using local produce from Fleetwood and Cumbrian Lake District, with scenic Forest of Bowland nearby.

The location and building are beautiful, and the breakfast is amazing, served by the nicest staff. The only drawback was that the shower water pressure wasn’t very good.

Breakfast was fine. However, there was no food available on the day of arrival. The room was dismal; the window looked out onto a black wall, and a mattress spring/metal wire poked out of the side of the mattress, potentially causing serious injury.

The staff were friendly, the location suited our needs, and breakfast was excellent. The problem was a lack of staff—one lady was acting as bar person, receptionist, and housekeeper all at once when we arrived. The hotel felt a little dated, and for the price we paid I expected slightly better.
