“Cozy pub stay in perfect location!”

I stumbled upon a charming pub right in the heart of Hawkshead, and the spot is absolutely gorgeous. The breakfast was tasty and the pub/restaurant vibe was great. The room was on the smaller side, but that’s something you’d expect when you book. Initially, it felt like we weren’t getting the same treatment as folks who booked directly, yet that shifted to a much better experience as the stay progressed.

“Very welcoming place in Hawkshead, and very good value too!”

The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a wide range of cold options and a hot menu too. Dinner choices were excellent, especially the pies. The room was lovely, well‑furnished, and every staff member was friendly and welcoming, making for a great stay.

“Honeymoon Night away”

The stay at The Queens Head was absolutely outstanding! We were here for our honeymoon and felt more welcomed than ever. Room 10 was a gem—beautiful, comfortable, and truly special. The location was gorgeous, peaceful, and had a relaxing atmosphere. The food was superb—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and a highlight of our trip. The staff were exceptional: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making everything effortless. A handwritten congratulations card for our wedding and honeymoon was a particularly lovely touch that meant a lot. Fantastic food, brilliant staff, a beautiful location, and Room 10 is definitely one to book! A honeymoon stay we’ll remember for a long time and we’ll absolutely return. ❤️🥂⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Rain ☔
