“Fijne 2 dagen/nachten!”
The setting is lovely, housed in a historic Frisian farm. The B&B room sits in the large barn, and there’s also a greenhouse where the owners have a music room that guests can use. Outside seating is available, though it’s not a proper terrace – you sit in front of the barn, which is fine. Breakfast is served in the “Karn” room, the beds are good, and it’s a solid base for trips to Franeker, Leeuwarden, or just cycling around. The hosts are friendly. Winsum itself offers little to do. Breakfast was fine, plenty of food, but the plastic bowls on the table felt uninviting. A smaller selection might be better presented.
