The spot was good, right across from the supermarket, and the lift and air‑con worked well; the room was mostly clean. However, as a tourist with only an eSIM I couldn’t reach the owner by phone and the app didn’t respond, making check‑in hard because the gate was locked and nobody was outside at the agreed arrival time. The room had cobwebs near the roof and the shower needed an upgrade or re‑grouting. There was no toilet paper and the owner didn’t answer requests for more.

The owner was present and helpful, the staff were polite, and the soundproofing from the road was excellent, though a bit less so from adjacent rooms. The location was great for visiting the ruins and Pompei’s center. The room was small and lacked useful furniture like a coat rack, chair, or small table for bags or suitcases. It was clean, but the extra yellow pillows had no covers. The bathroom had a malfunctioning toilet that clogged, and the bidet was broken – the drain plug was initially missing, then the owner fixed it but it wasn’t connected to the valve, making it impossible to flush. The shared kitchen was barely cleaned, with trash containers visible. The room description (as shown in the attached screenshot) mentioned a private kitchen, but it was actually shared with other guests, and the food I bought for breakfast, which I couldn’t eat due to intolerance, was consumed by others. I don’t blame the owner for this; it was the other guests’ rudeness, though the system could be improved by giving guests properly locked boxes.
