The room was luxurious for the low price, and when I wanted to use the remote‑control device, the batteries were missing, a sign of long disuse, yet the staff promptly replaced them. I have no issue with foreigners, but I was surprised that the staff spoke only basic English; otherwise, everything was fine.

The location was convenient, but the hotel lacked basic facilities.

The receptionist could barely speak German, making communication difficult, and she was poorly behaved—no thanks, no good day, no pleasant welcome, which was very embarrassing. Her conduct, as the person supposed to greet guests, was utterly unhelpful.

The location near Europaplatz and Marktplatz was good, and the bathroom was clean and pleasant, and overall it was quiet. Unfortunately, the TV didn’t work; we were given new remote batteries, only to discover the TV wasn’t plugged in and couldn’t be fixed without removing the entire wall mount. Both bedside reading lamps failed, the indirect lighting was set to red, and the remote for that didn’t work either.
