“Good overall but the basics need to be met.”
The location and tradition were both good, and breakfast was excellent. The bath was hot and well kept. However, there were many flickering lights, peeling paint, and general neglect of basics. The staff made a great breakfast, but checkout was chaotic because they didn’t check for in‑room beverages until later, so I was literally asked on the ride to my next stop to hand over cash. They also offered a train‑station pickup but didn’t answer calls or emails up to two days in advance, forcing me to hike up the mountain myself. Overall, some basics needed improvement.
