The place is great to stay! It’s very close to both national parks, the bed was super comfortable, the staff were incredibly kind, and the food was delicious. The bathroom style feels a bit dated and could use a renovation, but that won’t stop me from staying here again.

It was a fun place to stay. We loved the location and the staff. The room was small but very comfortable. The food was excellent and the service was great. If we ever go back to the sequoias we will definitely stay again. The only issue was the detour we had to take to get to the lodge because the bridge was under repair; the detour was long and quite bumpy. It was a minor inconvenience but I’d prefer to use the normal entrance.

When we booked, we included dinner, breakfast, and lunch. We arrived at the hotel at 1 am and they kept the dinner for us. The receptionist in the morning was not very courteous. They didn’t allow us to receive the lunch box, so we had to eat on site. The rooms were dated, poorly maintained, and not clean. The beds were uncomfortable.

Location was good. Everything else felt dated.

The lodge’s location is extremely hidden and hard to reach, only via a rough dirt road where grazing animals roam; the buffet is limited and the food is subpar. Overall, the whole property feels old and poorly maintained.
