Bushtown Hotel & Spa

“would definatley stay here again if visting the area”

The room was very spacious, and both evening meals and breakfast offered good choice and quality; all staff were helpful and courteous. Laura in the spa gave excellent customer service and helpful advice, but the bathroom was only okay – a walk‑in shower would have been better, just my preference.

“On the whole very pleasant indeed. And having stayed here several times before I will do so again”

Everything about the hotel was excellent; the restaurant and dining areas had undergone tremendous refurbishing, making the dining experience even more pleasant than the already excellent food. The room was very comfortable and had everything I could wish for. I would have preferred a walk‑in shower instead of a bathtub tap, as I have mobility issues and stepping into a bath to shower is inconvenient. The extractor fan in the bathroom was unreliable, sometimes not engaging properly and making irritating noises, so it would need repair or replacement. Aside from that, I had no issues.

“Enjoyable stop over.”

Location was good for travel needs, and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed, complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. Staff were polite and helpful, and the restaurant was very good – I really enjoyed the food and there was plenty to choose from at breakfast. However, my room smelled of smoke; I had to wash my clothes at home because they were funky, and the small windows had to be opened to air it out.

“Pleasant comfortable stay attentive friendly staff”

The location is good, parking is convenient, staff are pleasant and friendly. Wi‑Fi and mobile reception are intermittent, and the place needs a touch of updating—some carpets need attention and better grippers for safety, plus a bit of painting!!
