“Standaard kamer/hotel, wel naast de golfbaan.”

The room was spacious and located next to the golf course, but we couldn’t see the course from our room. We had to carry a 23‑kg suitcase up a narrow stairwell to the second floor, which was uncomfortable for our age.

“Golfers perfect place to stay but not ideal or value for money for us!”

The bed was super comfy and the dinner was top quality; the staff were genuinely friendly. I liked the ground‑floor room because it was easy for our dogs and my husband couldn’t climb stairs, and the place is fully wheelchair accessible. The only downside was the early‑morning noise from golfers pulling their trolleys out of the storage and driving their cars in the car park, which made it hard to sleep before our 6‑hour trip. Still, it’s a golfer’s dream spot, so the high prices make sense for that crowd. Compared to the 19 nights we’ve spent elsewhere for less money, we got a lot less at breakfast—just a continental buffet—while other places scored 10s. And this was the only time we were charged for our dogs: £20 each for one night, which feels excessive, especially since there was no sign in our room that we had two dogs.

“Friendly hotel in a great location.”

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food was good, especially the steak night. Some areas could use a refresh; it would have been nice to have a safe and a fridge in the room.
