Everything about Matamata Central Motel is just perfect – cozy, comfortable, walkable to the city center, and the staff are courteous and kind. We had such a wonderful stay.

Hilary and Wayne were the absolute best; sweet, professional, and clearly love what they do and care about guests. The motel itself is lovely, well‑kept, with super comfy beds, and a quick walk to downtown, the visitor center, and all our favorite restaurants. We had the best time.
