The location was great, but the price was ridiculously high for the service offered; dinner cost a fortune with tiny portions, breakfast was very weak, and overall the services didn't match the price.
“Unerwartet schöner Aufenthalt”
There are two buildings: the hostel with bunk beds, a billiard table and a ping‑pong table, plus a large, pleasant lounge. Breakfast is served in a stylish “Gentlemen’s” house a five‑minute walk away, which also offers more upscale rooms. Upon arrival we were greeted with coffee and given a tour. The kitchen is superb and dinner is excellent, with dishes beautifully plated using vegetables, herbs and spices. From our car you can drive 17 km on a good gravel road to the Magellan penguins. The only downside was the hostel’s breakfast, which was very sparse—just toast and jam.
“Fantastic service and very helpful”
The accommodation was great and we felt very welcome; the rooms were beautiful and breakfast delicious. We had a flat tyre on our car and, without us even asking, they immediately offered to help and repaired the tyre in their own garage. Fantastic service—uncomplicated and very helpful. Thank you very much!
Everything was perfect at Posada Escondida, the welcome was fabulous, and I highly recommend it.
“A warm welcome in a remote place”
I loved staying at a remote estancia for a reasonable price; staff Mel and Angel were very welcoming and helpful, the food was amazing, and the location was beautiful and wild. The motel is owned by the same family that runs the Casa Grande / Monte Dinero estancia.
