I spent a night while passing through, and the price‑to‑value ratio was off. The room was okay, but the place wasn’t clean; there were at least two cockroaches in the bathroom. When I mentioned it to the owner, she dismissed it by saying it’s normal in Costa Rica. All rooms face the courtyard, so you can easily be disturbed by other guests. In our case, people from the neighborhood were loud until 3 am. The kitchen is there, but it’s messy and dirty.

The price was great, the location perfect, and everything we needed was there. The guy who served us guided us from start to finish and even offered a late check‑out, which we really appreciated. Everything matched our expectations perfectly, and we’ll definitely come back.

They were super friendly, gave us a lift to a hike, and speak Spanish while the husband also speaks English. No issues whatsoever.
