The bedding was flawless, but the bathroom and toilet were a mess with a wobbly slab. The owner’s constant presence felt intrusive even after we had settled in. Breakfast was a let‑down: €12 for a glass of orange juice, a small slice of baguette with jam, a yogurt and a croissant. The extra charges were shocking – €3 for a triangle of Camembert or a slice of ham. It felt like we were being ripped off compared to other breakfasts of the same price during our seven‑day trip in cities and countryside.

The location was good, but the room was barebones – no kettle, no mini‑fridge, no trash bin. It was very basic, yet if you asked for something, they could provide it.

The room was great and ready for us. The owner greeted and helped us. It’s far from shops and restaurants, so you need to plan meals ahead, especially if you’re cycling. We could use the microwave.

No positives. It’s very far from the Port-sur-Saône if you’re on a bike and there’s no way to eat. The accommodation is poor and the price‑quality ratio is disappointing; the owner is not welcoming.

I paid for four places but only got three. We weren’t in a bed‑and‑breakfast but slept with a local. Everything was bad.
