“Avoid like the plague”
The location was fine, but the hotel was a complete mess. After extending my stay, I was handed a new key for the same room, but it didn’t work. The receptionist tried the same key over and over without resetting it, leaving us outside for an unreasonable time until another staff member finally produced a working key. I was offered to wait in reception or move rooms, but I already had all my belongings in the current room, so neither option made sense. To top it off, I was charged more than the amount listed in my booking. I had to request proof of the charges, and even when an invoice was given, the staff couldn’t explain the discrepancy. The manager stood there with a fruit plate, repeatedly apologizing and stuttering, but offered no clear explanation or justification for the extra fees. Later, I received an email from the hotel addressing my complaint, but the details were completely inaccurate and unrelated to the issues I raised, as if they had read someone else’s email or not read mine at all. I will pursue this matter externally. Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to stay elsewhere. And don’t even get me started on the café: I ordered a latte and was asked if I wanted it black; I eventually received a cup that tasted like soapy milk and was charged for it.
