The beds were comfortable, but the hotel was behind the desk staff.

“A lot of history rolled into a professionally updated facility.”

The historic location was fabulous, the bar was excellent, the wait staff were great, and the price was a bargain.

“Don’t miss Dawson city and stay at the El Dorado.”

Super location, friendly staff, and the room was unexpectedly well appointed and spacious. Nothing else.

The spot was spot on for Discovery Days, and we got to wander around Dawson. When we checked in, the night clerk mentioned that we’d booked two rooms and suggested contacting Booking to cancel the second one. Before I could reach out, she told me the hotel had manually booked the extra room, which left me frustrated for the first hour or so. She kept shifting blame onto anyone but the hotel, but the next day the Assistant Manager fixed the problem.
