A warm and friendly welcome will greet you at the ArtHouse Cinema Hotel, which is located in the heart of the old town of Essaouira. You can drink mint tea, have breakfast and admire the views on the flowered terraces. At the Riad the 8 colourful and bright rooms are spread over 3 levels. The bathrooms are in tiled in the typical Moroccan style.

Everything felt a bit run‑down, the location was right in the Medina and parking had to be paid for just outside, the breakfast was okay but we’d had much better ones in Morocco.

The rooms were clean, airy, and comfortable, with great views from our upstairs room, and the breakfast was good.

The Riad was on a side street, very quiet after 23:00, though earlier you could still hear residents; everyone was very friendly and nice, and the breakfast on the rooftop was simple but pleasant.
