Situated only 400 metres from the historic centre of Siena, Hotel Palazzo di Valli is a gorgeous 18th century villa beautifully decorated and smartly furnished in traditional Tuscan style. The hotel is situated on a hill, surrounded by an 18-acre garden with olive trees. The hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the centre of town.

Everything started with Giacomo’s warm welcome and his very useful advice for our two days in Siena. We felt truly welcomed, and I personally felt more like staying in a bed‑and‑breakfast than a hotel. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Plus, the view of Siena from the terrace where we had breakfast was just perfect, and the location was a 20‑minute walk from the historic center. A highly recommended establishment.

The breakfast selection was very varied and everyone on staff was kind. They gave plenty of useful tips on the best spots around Siena and the surrounding area. Nothing negative.

The location was very good. The rooms were clean and tidy.

The palace was beautiful, offering a great view of Siena and the countryside; the city centre can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes or by bus in 5 minutes. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good, completing the experience. Beware that the entrance to the hotel parking is narrow and there is no air conditioning – on hot days you can only sleep with the window open (which is fine).

The staff were comfortable and lovely. The walk to Sienna was longer than we expected, but it was easy to exit into the Tuscan countryside. The entrance to the car park was very narrow.
