I didn’t have any interactions with staff, but checking in and out was quick, the room was spotless and incredibly cozy. The only downside was its location, though that’s unavoidable.

The hotel is tucked away from the hectic city centre, letting me soak up the genuine local vibe and cuisine. A tiny shop beside the property sells everything at a fraction of the city price, so I could enjoy authentic Malay dishes for just 11 ringgits, which was very satisfying. On the downside, the kitchen was messy and cluttered, making it a bit off-putting to use, and the hot water thermostat didn’t reach high enough temperatures for tea or soup. Other than those issues, I’d give the stay a thumbs up.
