Domaine de Charmeil, nestled beside a forest and natural lake on a golf course, offers air-conditioned rooms with golf course and mountain views. The hotel features an outdoor pool, restaurant serving seasonal cuisine, English-style reception, lounge, and bar. Free WiFi and parking are provided, with Grenoble's research centres just a 20-minute drive away.

The location is nice, and the restaurant is pleasant. A barrier should be installed at the entrance for better security.

The breakfast featuring St Genis and the lilac tea was great, the bread was excellent, not too many options but the food quality was solid; the room was spacious and clean, though I did notice spider webs, field bedbugs, and large spiders; walking around the golf course and the pool was a highlight; the staff were very friendly and patient, the restaurant meal was good overall despite the staff’s kindness (the strawberry basil soup was superb, but the ribeye was overcooked and nerve‑y); overall, good value for money. The only downside was insects in the room.

The setting was very pleasant, the outdoor terrace was gorgeous, right in the middle of the golf course with a pool; the room was clean and quiet. The restaurant, however, was very disappointing, especially the service, far below what one would expect from such an establishment.
