The homestay sits on a cul‑de‑sac in a quiet upper‑class neighborhood; host Mr Chandan is friendly and helpful with everything, including arranging taxis, and it was nice to meet his two sons. The place is brand‑new, with excellent hot water and TV reception, and it’s a short walk to the Forest Research Institute, which boasts five extraordinary museums in a huge classical brick building on 1200 acres of grounds and is rated as Dehradun’s top attraction—don’t miss it. Everything was perfect; no complaints at all.
