Motel d'Antananarivo

Nothing was good; the receptionist sighed and looked at us poorly, mosquitoes were everywhere and my partner and I fell ill, the room equipment hadn’t been checked and was a mess, there were no batteries for the TV remote, the shower mat was completely wet, and the satisfaction questionnaire was crumpled; I don’t recommend this place. As a Malagasy, not a foreigner, I just wanted a quick city escape but the experience was a complete failure.

“Super top”

My stay at Motel Anosy in Antananarivo was great: the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant offered a wide range of tasty, high‑quality dishes. The location is very convenient for travelers, close to the taxi‑brousse departures, making it easy to reach various destinations around Madagascar. A solid recommendation for anyone in Tana.

The restaurant and proximity to Soatrans were positives, but noise, air pollution, high prices, and a closed pool were negatives.

“Déçut , au vu des notes nous nous attendions à un établissement + propres, correct et agréable”

The beds were fairly comfortable and the wardrobes could be locked, but the water was cold and low‑pressure; after we mentioned it, they moved us to a room where the water was only lukewarm for three minutes. The TV didn’t work, there was dust under the bed and in many places, and when we asked for morning housekeeping only the sheets and bed were refreshed. The large window wouldn’t close, letting in noise and cold. At checkout the price was higher than shown because the tourist tax and a city‑ticket were added, even though the listing said they were included for €1. Also, the advertised pool was closed from April to September without that being mentioned.

“Pas mal”

The only issue was the poor thermal insulation in the bathroom.
