I stayed for two nights at the Deutsche Eiche and was well accommodated. The setting is very quiet, like all of Dassel. The room was clean and functional. The entire house is rustic and cozy, thoughtfully furnished. The hosts are very friendly, helpful, and strive to make the stay pleasant. Breakfast was prepared individually, tasty, and plentiful. Subjectively, I rate the hotel as a tidy 2‑star property. For a quiet restorative stay, I recommend it! Unfortunately, the restaurant on the ground floor has been closed for a long time due to staff shortages. In the area there is little dining, so you have to drive to neighboring towns for a proper meal. The reception for check‑in/out is only staffed for short periods.

I stayed in a central spot, enjoyed a decent breakfast, and the staff were friendly. The door didn’t latch properly and the toilet lid was wobbly.

The vibe was warm and welcoming, and the rooms were clean. Unfortunately the breakfast offered very little variety and felt overly simple, which didn’t appeal to us.
