The Cleveland

The welcome was friendly, the room decor and size were good, the bed and linen very comfy, and the place was quiet. Breakfast was beautiful and of high standard throughout, with light and a well-equipped restaurant. Fresh fruit and delicious cooked breakfast, plus bedroom storage. No parking on the second night, but parking was still very close to the accommodation. The shower was weak.

The breakfasts and optional evening meals were excellent, beautifully cooked, presented, and delicious with a menu for all tastes. The double room on the first floor was fresh, clean, and had ample storage. The lounge area was delightful and comfortable, with a small bar for a pre‑dinner drink or just to relax in the bright, sunny lounge. Matt and Lissanne were very welcoming and helpful with local knowledge. The location was within easy walking downhill distance to Torquay beach, harbour/marina, cafés, and shops, which took us about 15 minutes. Nothing to complain about; this place is a little gem.

Fantastic breakfast and great hosts. With the heat, an air‑conditioning unit would have helped. The double room was very tight in space.
