The owner communicates well, speaks English and German, and explained clearly how to get to the accommodation as well as how to reach the airport early in the morning. In the entrance area, there is a fridge, coffee, and tea available for guests. Although the overall cleanliness was not satisfactory, the bed itself was clean. This accommodation has many negative reviews, so we arrived feeling curious but also a little concerned. The location is bleak, but it is not the owner’s fault that a highway was built right next to the house. On the contrary, he has made the most of it by offering a room close to the airport, which is convenient for guests with very early flights. Since the owner rents out a room in the house where he actually lives, and keeps his personal belongings in the wardrobe and bathroom while also sharing the bathroom and toilet with guests, I personally think this listing would be more suitable for Airbnb than for . You should definitely not expect the level of cleanliness that we are used to in Western Europe. This is the Balkans, and this accommodation gives you a real glimpse into a local household. That said, the bed was clean. If it were a bit further east, it probably would not feel surprising at all. What was particularly inconvenient was that there was no hot water in the shower. To sum it up, I am willing to accept this accommodation for what it is, but the price should be at most half of what we paid. It was the most expensive accommodation we used in Greece, yet the quality was far below what the price would suggest
