“Comfortable, unique and convenient place in Monteverde”
The little nature house was both cute and comfortable, and the wood‑fire pizza we had for dinner was fantastic. Roy gave us a call, arranged a night tour that picked us up, and the breakfast he prepared the next morning was solid. We’d definitely stay there again.
“Mooi uitzicht van ‘Hobbit’ house”
We stayed in a tiny, sweet cabin that offered a lovely view and the owners were genuinely welcoming. The space itself is modest but comfortable; the downside is that there isn’t much to do in the immediate surroundings.
“Tolle außergewöhnliche Unterkunft mit einem hilfsbereiten Inhaber”
Our two‑night stay in the so‑called ‘Hobbit cave’ was outstanding. The owner has put a lot of love into the place and also runs a pizzeria on the same grounds; the pizza from his hand‑built oven, learned during a course in Italy, was truly delicious. He and his wife were incredibly friendly – when I was dealing with an upset stomach he showed me his herb garden, suggested a few herbs and brewed a calming tea for me.
“Richtig, richtig schön!”
The Hobbit‑style cottage was absolutely charming and decorated with a lot of care. Our host was extremely friendly and even runs a pizzeria on the same grounds that serves fantastic pizza. Definitely worth a bite.
“Cozy stay and great hospitality!”
One of our best trips – the place felt unique and snug, and Roy and his family were fantastic hosts. Even though a bridge collapse delayed us and the on‑site pizza place was closed, Roy still invited us in for dinner, which saved us after being stuck in the car; the pizza and wine were tasty. The nature house was comfortable, the little heater kept us warm after a rainy day, and Roy’s homemade shoe‑dryer was a neat bonus. We’d love to return.
