“Great location for a night right on the front line of the lake”

I only picked this hotel because nothing else was available on this side of the lake, and the views really paid off with an incredible moon and stunning sunrise. The forest behind and the lake ahead put you in the middle of nowhere, absolute silence, and the darkest night I’ve seen in a long time. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the hotel feels very outdated; the room and balcony were infested with stinky bugs—probably due to the season—and we had to keep the balcony door shut to keep them out.

Le repas parfait,la literie aussi. Un hôtel qui devrait être rafraichi serait un plus, car par rapport aux photos on est un peu déçu Chambre niveau déco c est pas top après pas mal de toiles d araignées ds la chambre Le prix payé via booking un peu chère vu la différence entre photos et réelles

“Peut mieux faire”

The location right on the edge of Lake Vassivière is fantastic, and the view from the rooms—especially at sunrise—is magnificent. The kitchen was very good, and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the overall mess and the accumulation of various objects make the place feel oppressive. Everything seems rushed and unfinished; it feels like there’s intent but a lack of organization and willpower. Cleanliness is also lacking. It’s a shame because the place is beautiful and worth a visit.

“Hotel et restaurant super”

I stayed at an old lakeside hotel that turned out to be pretty solid, with staff who were always available and friendly. The only thing I’d suggest is installing air conditioning for the hot periods.

The location was fantastic, giving a great view from the balcony, and the kitchen was excellent. The room itself was fine, though it could use a little touch‑up. The reception wasn’t very welcoming, and the price‑to‑quality ratio left something to be desired.
