The Hotel Stadt Daun offers free Wi-Fi and serves as an ideal base for exploring the volcanic Eifel region. Two on-site restaurants, a public swimming pool, and gym are available. Rooms feature a TV and private bathroom. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the Vulkanmuseum and 30 minutes from the Nürburgring race track by car.

The hotel needs a refresh, everything is a bit old, the bathroom is limited (if you shower behind the small curtain the whole floor gets wet). But for those hiking the Eifelsteig, this is enough. The beds are fine and the breakfast is decent. On Facebook you see pictures of a pool and gym, but those belong to the municipal pool next door, not the hotel.

The location was optimal. We were traveling through and it was just right. The hotel is old, but everything is still fine.

Nice hotel to stay in if you hike the Eifelsteig. Spacious room, good bed. Nothing else, the hotel met my expectations.
