City Inn Nishi Tanabe

I chose this place to watch a soccer match and the proximity to the stadium was ideal. However, the futon had a stain and the bed was covered in hair, which I think should at least be fixed, and the lighting flickered a bit.

The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, which made for lively conversation and helped us plan the next day’s travel smoothly. On the downside, the building is old and the wear on the facilities was noticeable.

Getting to the LIVE venue was a breeze with just one stop on the train. I hopped off at Nishinabe, walked about 40 m to the hotel and arrived roughly half an hour before check‑in; the staff greeted me warmly and I appreciated their kindness, everyone seemed genuinely nice. The lamp in the night‑time room was dim, making it hard to see my feet, and I was shocked to find hair stuck to the wall, so a full inspection would be good, plus the body shampoo never came out, which was inconvenient; please check the facilities.

I soaked in the bath for a while and ate a hearty breakfast. The room felt a bit too tight.

The place was compact yet not uncomfortable, and I felt relieved to have breakfast available. I later noticed the rate had dropped more than ¥2,000 compared to what I booked, and it stayed low every time I looked, even though I booked through the same site, which was disappointing.
