“Great location fabulous staff”
I loved the location, the facilities, and the staff, but I had to ask for vegetarian sausages at breakfast—surely those should already be available in all hotel breakfasts?!

Located between the Principality Stadium and Cardiff Castle, Holiday Inn Cardiff City Centre offers 157 fully air-conditioned rooms with city views, en-suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, and tea/coffee facilities. The hotel serves a buffet breakfast, features a modern lounge and bar, and offers à la carte cuisine at Junction Restaurant. It's a 5-minute walk from Cardiff Central train station and a 30-minute drive from Cardiff Airport.

The second room they gave me was an appropriate size, but the first room was so small that I couldn’t walk around the bed.

Very good location at Bute Park and Cardiff Castle, just a street away from the park with nearby restaurants and shops, 15 minutes from the train station with luggage (or 10 minutes without). Everything was straightforward and the staff were very friendly. You can dine at the hotel. The only downside is that it’s next to the sports stadium, which the hotel can’t change; I personally don’t like it, but others might love it. Everything else at the hotel is fine.

The front desk team was friendly and efficient, making check‑in smooth and pleasant.

The staff were exemplary—always polite, super‑helpful, and very efficient. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options in a lovely dining area, and the room was immaculately clean. The furnishings and fixtures in the room felt a little dated, though.
