This hotel is special but a bit dated. The food at the restaurant is fine, but the serving staff is really underwhelming.

Great views, balcony, castle‑like atmosphere, beautiful room, pet‑friendly (although we had to explain a bit too much about bringing a well‑behaved, travel‑experienced cat into the room). The castle should have been charged separately even though we were hotel guests. The rooms were not actually in the castle (at least ours) but in the annex.

The staff, especially at the reception and room service, are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The wellness area is very appealing, the views from the terraces and the glazed part of the restaurant are spectacular; breakfast was very good. In the mansard rooms you can hear the ventilation system from about 6.00 to 22.00 h extremely loudly. That disturbs the otherwise calm atmosphere, especially in the early morning hours. Noise‑sensitive people should therefore secure a room on another floor when booking.

The restaurant is unbelievably good, breakfast is also excellent. The room is a bit very small.
