The surroundings were fantastic with excellent hiking trails that photos just can’t capture; it’s even more beautiful in person. The staff were outstanding—from reception to the shop, restaurants, and especially the cottage manager who made sure we were comfortable in every way and quickly arranged firewood for us, which was crucial since it was really cold up on the mountains. The only drawback was the gravel road leading to the site: a 10 km stretch from the main road that’s only partially tarred, but once you arrive, it’s easy to forget about it.

“Good times”

Mount Sheba Rainforest has always been a wonderful destination; we loved the nature and the friendly visitors who greeted us, including baboons and small monkeys who liked to sit beside us. The staff were always friendly and respectful. The only issue was discovering upon arrival that the wifi in the cottages was down; it would be helpful to note on the website that the wifi is under repair.

The hiking trails were great, but hot water was a challenge because it came out very slowly when we wanted to bathe.
