The Islander Resort in Islamorada offers tranquil beachfront accommodations with microwaves and refrigerators. Fully furnished private porches and lanais provide stunning views. Two on-site pools invite relaxation. The Beachside Bar and Grill serves on-site dining. Guests enjoy easy access to snorkeling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, sailing, and local shops, all within minutes of the resort in the Florida Keys.

The setting was nice, but the photos promised more than reality. Our room was marketed as a brand‑new bungalow, yet it was far from that; the furnishings were worn, the bedding was wrinkled and damp, and the bathroom with toilet was so tiny that only one person could turn around. For such a large resort, the two pools were too small to find quiet space. There was no sandy beach, only a rocky transition with a ladder to the sea, and one restaurant was closed. We left feeling disappointed.

The vibe was awesome; the villas were spread through the jungle, and both the pool and its service were great. We enjoyed all on‑site amenities while hosting ten families for a friend’s wedding, and everything was kid friendly. The food and drinks were a bit pricey, but honestly worth it, especially since the rooms were fairly priced; the food was the best I’ve ever had at a resort.
