Located on Shirahama Beach, Izu Peninsula, the Shimoda Prince Hotel offers ocean views from every room. Guests can access the hotel via a free shuttle bus from Izukyushimoda Train Station or a 10-minute taxi ride. The hotel features air-conditioned rooms with balconies, fridges, flat-screen TVs, and electric kettles, as well as hot spring baths, kids' rooms, and souvenir shops.

Staff were very kind and capable, the spot was quiet and right on the seafront, a free shuttle bus and an onsen were available – great experience.

The beach is right next door, the room offers a sea view, there’s a kids’ pool making it family‑friendly, the seawater is crystal clear, the grounds are spacious, and a shuttle bus is provided. However, if you rely on public transport, shopping and dining options are limited; the hotel has a shop, but the nearest convenience store is about a 20‑minute walk.
