“Sem už určitě nepojedeme.”
When someone is upset, they are probably not objective. The accommodation completely disappointed us. We never received a PIN for the lodging. On the spot I had to find out how to enter the property. When everything was closed, I had to locate the owner and only after calling could we get into the pension. Before we entered, we were told to immediately go out the door and take some of the old plastic slippers that were at the entrance. Then we were told to leave 100 Kč on the table (a local fee for one night for two people) and open the window and the bathroom to ventilate. That wasn't the worst part. The house was freezing. On the toilet paper holder it was a punishment to sit. Everything was terribly cold. Outside was warmer than inside. So we packed up and left. We found another place (cheaper than this one) and the owner warmed us in the evening. The next morning it was 13 °C. Because we are decent people, we returned to the pension in the morning, opened the window and the bathroom door, and left 100 Kč on the table. So the lady must be proud and satisfied. I don't know where Czech hospitality went. We wouldn't want to end up like that again.

The location was great, everything close by. The pension was clean. The lady booked us over the phone so we had to go around the house and go behind. She told us to pick up the keys somewhere… There was no information on Booking about taking your own shoes. Since we are still in 2026 and keep complaining and leaving shoes down… So we always left them down and took the shoes into the room. The bathroom was tiny, which wouldn't be a problem, but the big shelf above the sink was so high that you couldn't even wash your face or brush your teeth properly; it was unbelievable. Thank you, but we wouldn't come back.
The location was great, the pension was beautiful and clean, outdoor seating was fantastic, I appreciated the smoker’s area and the abundance of ashtrays, nothing was hanging anywhere, the owner lady was very helpful and pleasant – definitely recommend. I had to take away one star for the sleep: every bed creaked and the mattresses were already quite worn, that was the only thing we didn’t like.

The main plus was the great location – the pension is really close to the center of Železná Ruda, so everything was conveniently within reach. We also liked the quiet environment, cleanliness, and pleasant atmosphere of the entire pension. A big plus is the possibility to park right at the pension and the well-equipped common kitchen. The owner lady was very kind, helpful, and pleasant. Nothing major to complain about. We really enjoyed the stay. Short description of the rating: great accommodation in central Železná Ruda. Clean, quiet, excellent location, pleasant owner lady, and everything needed at hand. Definitely recommend and would like to return sometime. The basement has a huge kitchen where you can cook.
