2 single beds
1 large double bed, 2 single beds and 1 futon bed
The traditional Japanese breakfast was delightful, but the room felt very basic.
“Great!”
The owner kindly took my forgotten gloves to the ski center from the lodge, and thanks to their help I could really enjoy my Niseko snowboard trip; I truly appreciate their hospitality.
“A friendly, hospitable Japanese Guest House in the snow”
Toru, his lovely wife, and five children made this stay stand out among my many visits over 20 years to Japan for skiing. While guests enjoy separation from family, the delicious Japanese breakfasts and daily living allow for overlap. My room was warm, quiet, and comfortable, and the atmosphere among guests was very friendly. This isn’t a luxury stay, but how many accommodation owners accompany you to the bus stop when you leave and ensure everything goes smoothly? Thank you.
The location was fantastic, and the owner was super friendly and helpful.
“Great if you are skiing every day and single or with a partner. Not good for non-skiers or families.”
The family was great and warm, my room was good and quite spacious, and the house sits right next to the bus stops for Niseko ski fields (5 mins) and Harafu (10 mins); buses run every hour and are punctual. The bathrooms are pretty basic and could use an upgrade. The spot is ideal for skiing, but there are few dining options, so you have to take the bus to Hirafu or Niseko Ski Fields. Opposite the house is a great cafe called Byron Bay Cafe, offering excellent coffee, toasted sandwiches, and pies.
