The people running the guest house are incredible and genuinely kind; during my 2 nights in Kandy we spent evenings chatting about life, our countries and cultures. It was my birthday while I was there, so they surprised me with a cake and candles and we had a small celebration, and I’m forever grateful for how welcomed and special they made me feel. Even though I was traveling solo, I never felt alone! Apart from the hosts, the guest house is very close to the lake and the city centre, yet in a very quiet spot. Breakfast was huge and delicious, and the overall vibe of the place was great. Hope we meet again! – Daniela from Bulgaria

“Absolute Empfehlung ◡̈”

Sympathetic hosts and the accommodation unbeatable for the price. The room (though a bit noisy, it didn’t bother us much, pleasant fellow travellers) and the bathroom were clean. Breakfast was more than enough and tasty. Quiet location, off the main street yet the lake is a few minutes’ walk away. To explore Kandy, we arranged a tuk‑tuk driver. We highly recommend the ride. Nothing else, top for the price.

Great location near the lake. Really nice guys running it. They’re knowledgeable and fun to chat with. They had good recommendations and a tuk‑tuk driver available. Breakfast was very good and plenty of food. It wasn’t an issue for me, but my partner is short and couldn’t reach the water‑heater control.
