The family‑run Hotel‑Restaurant Jägerhof sits within Black Forest Nature Park, surrounded by scenic hiking routes. Alpine‑style rooms feature free Wi‑Fi, satellite TV, seating areas, private bathrooms and balconies overlooking the Kafenhardt Valley. Guests enjoy a rustic breakfast buffet, traditional dining, free parking, and are minutes from Unterreichenbach and the spa town of Schömberg.

Pure tranquility for those who seek peace and expect nothing. The place is well‑maintained and clean, and the staff are very friendly. However, the description does not match reality: meals are only available with advance order, the rooms are styled in a charming 70s aesthetic with small beds and carpets. The hotel now operates only as a garni, no full hotel or restaurant service. The value for money does not align.

We got in late at night, it was raining and we had kids, so we were a bit nervous, but the owner met us at the door and handed over the keys. Since we only stayed one night, it’s hard to judge, but it’s a great spot for a longer visit to enjoy nature.

The location is perfect for those who love forest, nature, and peace – the host is super sweet! The mattress caves in and could use a replacement, and while the pillows are a matter of taste, it’s best to have both a soft and a firmer option available.
