The view and room were comfortable, with a nice bath and an outdoor jacuzzi, and I liked the app for ordering and booking cleaning. However, the hill’s steepness could use more paths and steps to the pools and reception.

What a beautiful private resort—beyond expectations! We stayed in a private villa, loved it, breakfast was yummy, the location is close to everything yet still quiet, and the bay view was stunning; it was a little older but charmingly Thai, so I hardly saw it as an issue, and I wish we could drive scooters straight to the room, but that’s the price we pay for the location.

The rooms were very nice and the swimming pool great, staff were polite and courteous, but there was no air‑conditioning at the reception and dining areas, and the Thai food selection at the restaurant was limited.

The location is gorgeous, perched on a hill with an off‑road path to the beach, but the gate shuts at 6 PM so you have to take a taxi or tuk‑tuk back to the front entrance; the property is well managed, and you can reach the rooms by jeep, which the reception always has on standby, and you can request services through the mobile app. We stayed at several Centara hotels during our Thailand trip, but only this one had staff whose behavior was less than ideal; for two rooms they demanded a 6000 THB security deposit, while at other places it was no more than 2000 THB. The breakfast staff were extremely rude, seemed forced to work, offered no smiles, didn’t answer questions, and ignored us when we politely called them.
