The room was superb, the food excellent, and the staff outstanding, but car parking in Budgens was not ideal.

The room was amazing with all the amenities you could want, the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to help, and it was the cleanest room I have ever stayed in—nothing negative.

The little extras like after‑dinner chocolates in the bar, the Nespresso machine in the room, fresh milk, and cold filtered water in the fridge were great, and the breakfast menu was wonderful on top of the normal items we could help ourselves to. However, there was no mirror in the bedroom—only one in the bathroom—and no power point in the bathroom, so there was nowhere to plug in an electric toothbrush, a shaver, or a hair dryer. The socket nearest the bathroom only allowed the hair dryer as far as the bathroom door, making it difficult to use the bathroom mirror with the hair dryer.
